Braille Signs UK is a specialist Braille & Tactile manufacturer, meaning we can meet almost any requirement possible. We produce high quality signs in both contrasting plastics and metals at a very low price which are tailored to your individual needs.

All our signs are manufactured with the guidance of The Royal National Institute of Blind (RNIB) to conform with the DDA Act 1995 and more recently so from 1st October 2004 stating businesses and organizations make “reasonable adjustments” one of which is providing large, well defined signs for visually impaired people.

In the UK there are almost 20,000 people using Braille and over 2 million people with a sight problem. Braille is a way of representing text with a series of raised dots allowing blind people to read with their fingers. The six dots that make up Braille translate into letters of the alphabet, numbers, symbols and common words. The sharp contrasting and prominent Tactile letters allow partially sighted people to visualize signs much easier.

We can supply grade 1 Braille which represents letter for letter and is used for single and shorter wording signs and also grade 2 which is an abbreviated form, this is used for longer sentences.
